The team announced Tuesday that it is stepping away after five years in the league, citing a shift in its strategic direction.
“This difficult decision was taken after careful review of Cignal's strategic direction,” management said.

Cignal exits after pushing Creamline Cool Smashers to five sets in Game 2 of the finals before absorbing a 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 16-25, 15-11 loss at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Super Spikers leave the PVL as consistent contenders, finishing with three silver and five bronze medals since joining in 2021 under coach Shaq Delos Santos.
They also produced multiple MVPs, including newly crowned conference MVP Vanie Gandler, PVL on Tour MVP Erika Santos, and former awardee Ces Molina.
With the franchise on hiatus, players and staff — including Gandler, Santos, Gel Cayuna, and Dawn Catindig — become free agents.
Cignal is the third team to take a leave from the PVL in recent months, following Chery Tiggo Crossovers and Petro Gazz Angels.
