The Los Angeles Clippers have emerged as a potential suitor for Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown, and they possess the draft assets to make a competitive offer, according to reporter Michael Scotto. The Clippers could put together a package featuring future first-round picks, including the No. 5 overall selection in the upcoming draft and an unprotected 2029 first-round pick acquired from the Indiana Pacers in the Ivica Zubac trade.
Trade speculation surrounding Brown has intensified recently. He has been mentioned as a possible centerpiece in a deal for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Additionally, reporter Sam Amick has indicated that the Portland Trail Blazers would pivot to pursuing Brown if they are unable to acquire Antetokounmpo.
Brown was instrumental in the Celtics' 2024 NBA championship run. In the 2025-26 season, he played 71 regular-season games, averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, earning a spot on the All-NBA Second Team. Despite his individual success, the Celtics were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, prompting the front office to plan significant roster changes this summer to build a championship contender for next season.
