The Dallas Wings pulled off a stunning comeback victory, overcoming a 17-point deficit to defeat the Chicago Sky 93-92, handing the Sky their fifth consecutive loss.
Dallas struggled early, managing just 16 points in the first quarter as the Sky, led by center Kamilla Cardoso, built a 28-16 lead. Chicago's offense cooled in the second quarter, and the Wings chipped away behind Paige Bueckers, cutting the deficit to five at halftime. The Sky regained control in the third quarter, with guard Diamond Taylor scoring 10 points in the period to push the lead back to double digits.
But the Wings mounted a furious rally in the final frame. Forward Sheppard — quiet for most of the game — and Bueckers combined to lead the charge, gradually erasing the deficit. With 35 seconds remaining, Skylar Diggins-Smith sank two free throws to give the Sky a 92-86 lead. What followed was a stunning sequence.
The Wings were awarded free throws when the Sky fouled a player off the ball during an inbound play, and rookie Azzi Fudd made one. Bueckers then drilled a high-difficulty 3+1, cutting the lead to one. On Chicago's ensuing possession, the Sky committed a backcourt violation. With 13 seconds left, Dallas center Li Yueru drew a foul on Cardoso and calmly sank both free throws to give the Wings their first lead of the final frame. The Sky missed their final attempts, and Dallas sealed the 93-92 victory.

Sheppard led the Wings with 21 points and 8 rebounds, while Bueckers delivered a near triple-double with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists — scoring 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting in the fourth quarter. Cardoso finished with a game-high 26 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.
Dallas will visit the Seattle Storm on June 23, while the Sky travel to face the Connecticut Sun on the same day.
