Alex Eala will need to stage a comeback for her to advance to the 2026 Berlin Tennis Open Finals after she dropped the opening set 2-6 in her semis clash against Linda Noskova on Sunday (PH time) at Steffi Graf Stadion.
Eala got broken in her first two service games as Noskova surged 3-1 ahead to start the match.
The Czech never surrendered the lead after that, breaking the Filipina's serve again in the seventh game before taking the first set in just 29 minutes.
The winner of this semifinal match will face No. 3 seed Jessica Pegula in Sunday's final after the American ousted World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
