Justin Brownlee took matters into his own hands following the timeout, scoring five consecutive points to cut TNT's lead to two. Tropang 5G then turned the ball over, leading to an Ginebra fastbreak, which Scottie Thompson finished with a layup to tie the game at 63-63 with 2:52 remaining.
Thompson and Brownlee continued Ginebra's surge as the Gin Kings' 12-0 run helped them grab a five-point lead entering the final 12 minutes of play.
