Dawn Macandili-Catindig has strengthened the floor defense of Choco Mucho Flying Titans, ahead of the new Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season.
The Flying Titans on Wednesday morning welcomed Catindig and spiker Jewel Encarnacion, who both came from the defunct Cignal Super Spikers.
Catindig brings experience and leadership to Choco Mucho after winning Best Libero honors in both local and international competitions.
She will team up with four-time Best Libero Thang Ponce.
The veteran libero was part of Alas Pilipinas’ solid run over the past two years, helping the national squad secure four bronze medals in the SEA V.League and a silver-medal finish in last year’s Asian Volleyball Confederation Women’s Cup. She was also a three-time UAAP champion and a Finals Most Valuable Player with De La Salle University.
It will be Catindig’s third PVL team since the disbandment of F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in 2023 and Cignal’s recent leave of absence, which came just days after the team’s runner-up finish in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference.
Encarnacion, who was drafted by Galeries Tower Highrisers two years ago before moving to Cignal last season, chose Choco Mucho as the next stop in her professional career.
The former University of the Philippines standout provided quality minutes off the bench for the Super Spikers.
Choco Mucho, which has missed the playoffs since last year’s All-Filipino Conference, owns the No. 3 pick in the upcoming PVL Rookie Draft on June 3 at Novotel Manila Araneta City.
