Jalen Brunson has been named the 2026 Eastern Conference Finals MVP after leading the New York Knicks to their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999.
Brunson received the prestigious Larry Bird Trophy via unanimous vote following New York’s dominant sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Knicks superstar was the driving force behind the historic run, averaging 25.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds throughout the series.
After accepting the award, Brunson credited his teammates for helping him thrive on the biggest stage.
“They give me confidence. They let me be me. And I think more importantly, we believe in each other," said the 29-year-old star guard.
Josh Hart also praised Brunson’s leadership and composure after the clinching win.
“He doesn’t get too high or too low. Even in a game like this, he wanted to stay focused.”
