Bol Bol is officially out for the remainder of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup after suffering an injury to his left foot.
The 7-foot-3 import lost his footing on a drive to the basket at the 2:50 mark of the second quarter in Game 2 of the semifinals against Meralco on Friday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.
He fell to the floor writhing in pain and had to be carried by his teammates back to the dugout.
TNT later said through strength and conditioning coach Dexter Aceron that the initial prognosis was a partial Achilles tear in his left foot, an injury that would require an extended recovery period.
The Tropang 5G have since confirmed that Bol will miss the rest of the conference. Replacing him is former University of the Philippines standout and recently naturalized player Malik Diouf, who is expected to suit up for TNT moving forward in the semifinals.
