The Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a strong start in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, building a 27-24 lead after the first quarter of their playoff showdown with the New York Knicks on Friday (PH time) at Madison Square Garden.
Donovan Mitchell drained a 3-pointer in the closing stages of the opening quarter to give the Cavs the narrow lead after the first 12 minutes of play.
Evan Mobley led the Cavs' offense with 10 points and 2 rebounds. Jarrett Allen added 6 points.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges paced the Knicks' offense, scoring 7 and 6 points, respectively.
