

In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York Knicks pulled off a miraculous 115-104 overtime comeback victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at home, taking a 1-0 series lead. The driving force behind the win was unquestionably Knicks star Jalen Brunson.
Brunson was sharp in the first quarter, scoring 10 points to help New York build an early lead. Although the Cavaliers seized control in the second and third quarters to overtake the Knicks, Brunson rose to the occasion in the fourth.
With Cleveland leading by as many as 22 points, Brunson displayed superstar poise, scoring 11 consecutive points against James Harden to fuel an 18-1 Knicks run. With 19 seconds remaining, he drilled a clutch floater to tie the game at 101 and force overtime. Brunson scored 15 points in the fourth quarter on 7-of-9 shooting.
In overtime, Brunson again beat Harden off the dribble to put New York ahead, and the Knicks completed their stunning comeback.
Brunson finished with 38 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists on 15-of-29 shooting. His fourth-quarter heroics powered one of the greatest playoff comebacks in recent memory — and made him the brightest star of the game.
