De La Salle University secured one of the stars of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 88 boys' basketball tournament as University of Santo Tomas spitfire guard Joaquin Ludovice committed to play for the Green Archers.
Come Season 90 in 2027, the former Gilas Pilipinas Youth ace will be eligible to play for five full years as the defending champions seek to load up their backcourt after Jacob Cortez concludes his collegiate career later this year at the end of Season 89.
The 5-foot-9 Ludovice, however, will not see action until he completes his Grade 12 education.
Still, La Salle will be getting welcome production from the former San Beda University high school standout, who previously averaged 11.5 points, 2.9 assists, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in Season 88.
Ludovice also brings championship experience, having helped the Tiger Cubs rule the Season 87 tournament.
