Castle's historic 32-point game makes Spurs history image

In the Spurs' 139-109 Game 6 victory over the Timberwolves — clinching the series 4-2 and advancing to the Western Conference Finals — Spurs guard Stephon Castle delivered a sensational performance, emerging as the brightest star of the night.

Castle caught fire early, scoring 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the first quarter, helping San Antonio seize control early and build a commanding lead by halftime. After the Timberwolves found their rhythm in the second quarter and threatened to mount a comeback in the third, Castle stepped up once again, dropping 11 points in the third quarter to steady the Spurs and preserve the lead. San Antonio cruised to a blowout victory.

Castle finished with a dominant all-around stat line: 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists on 11-of-16 shooting — including 5-of-7 from three-point range. His five three-pointers set a new career high (combining regular season and playoffs) for made threes.

According to statistics, Castle now has two 30-point playoff games before turning 22 — the most in Spurs franchise history. Previously, only Tim Duncan and Tony Parker had each accomplished the feat once.
