Dylan Harper has been a revelation for San Antonio in this year’s NBA Playoffs, with the Filipino star averaging 13.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists through 10 games thus far. The rookie leads all playoff bench players in scoring with 136 points and is the youngest guard to record multiple postseason double-doubles.
Harper has previously expressed his pride in representing the Philippines on the NBA stage when he got selected by the Spurs with the No. 2 pick in the 2025 Draft last June.
“I just want to represent where I come from. My mom’s side of the family—they’ve put so much into me,” Harper said during his post-draft press conference.
Harper has an opportunity to make Filipinos even prouder with a victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 6 on Saturday (PH time). A win by San Antonio would see them advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2017.
