Alex Eala has chosen World No. 9 Victoria Mboko to be her partner for the women’s doubles event of the 2026 French Open. This will be their first ever doubles pairing on the WTA Tour, making their campaign at Roland Garros a must-see for fans of the two young stars.
Eala and Mboko have faced each other twice in singles before. Eala defeated the Canadian teen 6-1, 7-6 in the semifinals of the 2022 US Open girls' singles event. Mboko exacted revenge on the Filipina star last year when they squared off in the Hong Kong Open, winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Round of 16.
Eala will have a final tune-up event before heading to Paris for the French Open, with the Quezon City native set to compete in next week’s Strasbourg Open. She will have to go through qualifying for the WTA 500 event to gain entry to the main draw.
