Victor Wembanyama will play for the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of their Western Conference Semifinals series against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday (PH time).
The Frenchman avoided further punishment from the NBA after he got ejected in Game 4 for elbowing Naz Reid during the second quarter of the Spurs' loss.
Basketball insider Shams Charania revealed the development on his X account, writing: "There will be no further discipline for Spurs star Victor Wembanyama after he was ejected for elbowing Naz Reid in Minnesota on Sunday night, sources tell ESPN. No suspension, no fine. Wembanyama will play in Game 5 against the Timberwolves on Tuesday night in San Antonio."
It is a major boost for the Spurs, who struggled down the stretch in Game 4 following Wembanyama's ejection.
