A star for the Brigadiers in the juniors’ basketball tournament, the 6-foot-4 wing will have five years of eligibility in the collegiate ranks.
Coronel’s energy and versatility will be crucial for the Generals, who are looking to bounce back from a Season 101 campaign in which they won just four of 13 games before bowing out in the play-in round.
The 18-year-old previously averaged 15.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, and 1.4 assists for the Brigadiers, who fell to eventual champion Letran College in the Season 101 Final Four.
Coronel is expected to bolster the Generals’ forward rotation, which currently features Wilmar Oftana and Jude Bagay as its main weapons.
