Jalen Brunson once again proved why he’s become the heartbeat of the New York Knicks, exploding for a dominant performance in a 108-94 win over the Philadelphia 76ers to give New York a commanding 3-0 series lead.
With OG Anunoby sidelined and Karl-Anthony Towns battling early foul trouble, the Knicks needed Brunson to carry the load — and he delivered.
After Philadelphia controlled much of the first quarter, Brunson erupted in the second, scoring 10 points and adding 3 assists on efficient shooting to spark a massive Knicks run that completely shifted momentum.
The third quarter became the Brunson show. As New York’s offense stalled around him, he kept attacking and creating, entering the fourth with 24 points and 8 assists while keeping the Knicks firmly in control.
Then came the dagger moments.
With the 76ers trying to rally late, Brunson drilled a clutch three-pointer before immediately setting up Mikal Bridges for a layup, fueling the decisive run that buried Philadelphia for good.
Brunson finished with a game-high 33 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists in another playoff masterpiece.
The performance also added another chapter to Knicks history. It marked Brunson’s 24th career 30-point playoff game — the most in franchise history. His playoff scoring average with New York now sits at 29.6 points per game, trailing only Michael Jordan, Luka Dončić, and Allen Iverson on the all-time list.
