Mark “Kramm” Rusiana has been suspended for seven games and fined USD 2,000 for violating the MPL Malaysia Official Rulebook and Code of Conduct following an incident involving messages sent to a fellow athlete, the league announced on Friday.
“We have found Mark ‘Kramm’ Genzon Sojero Rusiana in severe violation of the MPL Malaysia Official Rulebook and Code of Conduct,” the league stated.
According to MPL Malaysia, Kramm’s behavior violated several provisions under Section 9.1.4 (Professional Behaviour) of the official rulebook and was considered to have “disparaged the values and standards upheld by MPL Malaysia.”
“Kramm sent messages to an athlete in MPL Malaysia which violated multiple counts of the MPL Malaysia Official Rulebook (Section 9.1.4 - Professional Behaviour) and disparaged the values and standards upheld by MPL Malaysia,” the statement added.
In accordance with the league’s official rulebook and penalty index, MPL Malaysia has issued disciplinary sanctions against the player.
“Pursuant to the MPL Malaysia Official Rulebook and the Penalty Index, the league has issued the following penalties to Kramm: suspension for seven (7) matches, effective immediately across all official MLBB tournaments in all regions; and a fine of USD 2,000.”
The league clarified that the penalties are separate from a previously issued statement involving an earlier incident.
“The stated violations and penalties are independent of the incident which we had previously issued a statement on,” MPL Malaysia said.
MPL Malaysia also reminded all teams and players of their responsibilities moving forward.
“MPL Malaysia takes this opportunity to remind all teams and players of their shared responsibility to maintain a professional, respectful, and safe environment for everyone in the ecosystem,” it added.
Selangor, which remains unbeaten at 9-0, still has five games left in the elimination round. With Kramm serving a seven-game suspension, he is set to miss the remainder of the eliminations and the first two matches of the playoffs.
This means he will only be eligible to return if Selangor advances deep into the postseason, potentially as far as the lower bracket finals or even the grand finals, depending on how the team progresses.
