Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 20-point streak in the regular season and playoffs may have ended on Wednesday (PH time), but his offensive numbers were still enough to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to an impressive Game 1 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The reigning NBA MVP played 35 minutes in OKC's 108-90 win, finishing with 18 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. He shot 8-of-15 from the field and 2-of-3 from the free-throw line. He also committed 7 turnovers.

According to statistics, this marks the first time this season that Gilgeous-Alexander has scored fewer than 20 points in a game. He previously scored at least 20 points in all 68 of his regular-season appearances and all 4 playoff games prior to today.

hot commentToday, the Lakers' defense against SGA was still decent, but the Thunder isn't a one-man team, and other players can step up.
