Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue is now the pound-for-pound king, leapfrogging Oleksandr Usyk following his unanimous decision victory over compatriot Junto Nakatani over the weekend.
Inoue, previously sitting at the second spot of the ranking, put up a masterful performance against fellow pound-for-pound ranked fighter Nakatani to retain his undisputed super bantamweight crown.
Usyk, who is set to fight Rico Verhoeven for the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight crown on May 23, slid to the second spot.
At No. 3 is World Boxing Organization (WBO) super lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson followed by WBC and WBO super flyweight champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez.
Also making a rise in the rankings at No.5 is David Benavidez, who is coming off a sixth-round knockout victory over Gilberto Ramirez just two days ago to become a three-division champion and the first fighter to win world titles at super middleweight, light heavyweight and cruiserweight.
Dmitry Bivol slid one spot at No.6 while Nakatani, despite the loss to Inoue, only dipped one spot to No. 7.
Rounding out the top 10 rankings are Devin Haney at No. 8, Oscar Collazo at No.9 and Emannuel Navarrete at the 10th spot.
