The New York Knicks headed into the halftime break with a commanding 74-51 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series on Tuesday (PH time) at Madison Square Garden.
Jalen Brunson got the party started for New York, scoring 14 of his game-high 27 points in the first quarter to help the Knicks build a 33-25 lead.

New York sustained the momentum in the second quarter, outscoring Philadelphia 41-26 during that period to take a 23-point lead at the half.
OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns also contributed on the offensive end for New York, dropping 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Four players scored in double figures for the Sixers in the first half, including Tyrese Maxey, who had 13 points. Joel Embiid added 12 markers on 3-of-10 shooting from the field.
