Lito Adiwang is set to make his return to action as he continues his climb in a new weight class under the ONE Championship banner
Filipino combat sports journalist Nissi Icasiano first reported that the Baguio City-based knockout artist will take on Indonesia’s Eko Roni Saputra in a 140-pound catchweight MMA contest at ONE Fight Night 43, scheduled for May 16 at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
For Adiwang, the bout represents a chance to build on a strong showing in his most recent outing.
The 33-year-old impressed in November 2025, scoring a first-round knockout victory over Mauro Mastromarini, who tipped the scales above the promotion’s 135-pound flyweight limit.
That performance marked a notable shift after a lengthy run at strawweight, where Adiwang competed 14 times since joining ONE in 2018.
Now campaigning beyond his longtime division, Adiwang looks to establish consistency and momentum against a seasoned but struggling opponent.
Carrying a 17-6 professional record, “Thunder Kid” has built a reputation for his finishing ability, with nine wins by knockout and four by submission.
Saputra, meanwhile, enters the contest at a crossroads.
A decorated wrestler and multiple-time Indonesian national champion, Saputra transitioned into the all-encompassing sport with immediate success, opening his career with a 7-1 run.
However, recent results have slowed that momentum, as the Indonesian comes into this matchup on a four-fight losing streak.
Despite the skid, Saputra has experience against Filipino competition. He previously earned victories over Kaji Ebin and Ramon Gonzales before suffering his first loss to a Pinoy opponent against Danny Kingad in February 2023.
