Atlanta Hawks guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker has won the 2025-26 NBA Most Improved Player award.
This marks the first time in NBA history that the same franchise has produced back-to-back winners of the Most Improved Player award. Hawks guard Dyson Daniels previously won the honor for the 2024-25 season.

According to statistics, Alexander-Walker’s scoring average jumped from 9.4 points per game in the 2024-25 campaign to 20.8 points per game this season — an increase of 11.4 points.
He became the first player since 2014 to post a scoring increase of at least 10 points per game, and the increase ranks as the third-largest in the last 25 years.
That offensive leap helped him edge out Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija and Pistons center Jalen Duren for the individual prize.
Alexander-Walker also averaged 3.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds to go with 1.3 steals. The 27-year-old also averaged career highs in blocks, field goal percentage and 3-point field goal percentage.
