TNT survived Macau, 119-112, last Friday to regain its winning ways in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 50 Commissioner's Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The Tropang 5G needed to earn the win after the Black Knights led by seven at one point in the contest. TNT improved its slate to 6-3 win-loss to move within the top four of the team standings.

The Tropang 5G were defeated by Converge, 97-92, just last Wednesday, but were able to recover with only one day to prepare against the Black Knights, who gave the reigning champions a good fight.
The closest Macau got was at 113-112 on a lay-up by Damian Chongqui with 26.3 seconds left. But the Black Knights missed a couple of outside shots with TNT making their free throws in the end game.

TNT got its biggest lead at 108-98 with a Jordan Heading putback with 4:53 left in the fourth. This was after Macau came to within two points, 98-96.
Bol Bol had 37 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks, but local support was aplenty for TNT. Heading had 20 points. Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser had 17 points and seven rebounds, and Calvin Oftana had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Macau dropped its win-loss record to 1-8. Phoenix Shackelford had 31 points and Chongqui had 29 points for the Black Knights.
