Oklahoma City’s road to back-to-back championships got a little tougher after Jalen Williams suffered a left hamstring injury in Game 2 of their first-round series against Phoenix on Thursday (PH time).
Williams picked up the injury with 6:26 remaining in the third quarter of the Thunder’s 120-107 victory. He grabbed his left leg and motioned toward the OKC bench after missing a contested layup on a fast break opportunity.

Head coach Mark Daigneault talked about Williams’ injury after the game, saying "We think he aggravated his left hamstring. We'll take a look at it in the next couple of days, and we'll update you guys appropriately."
Losing Williams is a huge blow for the Thunder as he has been playing outstanding basketball in this series. He had 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists in OKC’s Game 1 blowout victory and followed that up with 19 points and four assists in the Thunder’s Game 2 win.
