Basketball fans took to social media to blast the New York Knicks on Tuesday (PH time) after they suffered an embarrassing collapse in their Game 2 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks squandered a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter, with CJ McCollum leading Atlanta to a stunning 107-106 victory.
“New York Knicks scored 15 points in 4th quarter to a team that hates playing defense, how are people getting paid millions of dollars to put the ball in the hoop this bad,” one fan wrote.
“The Knicks choked,” another fan commented.
“Death. Taxes. Knicks choking during the playoffs,” one fan claimed.
Some fans took aim at Mikal Bridges, who missed a potential game-winning jumper in the dying seconds after McCollum missed both of his free throws on the other end.
“One time for you wannabe Knicks fan that thought or still think Mikal Bridges was worth 4 first round picks and his new contract!!” one fan wrote.
“Yeah NOBODY thought Mikal Bridges was making that,” another fan said.
“Knicks ain’t winning sh*t running their offense through Mikal Bridges,” one fan pointed out.
The best-of-seven series now shifts to Atlanta for Game 3, with both teams having one win apiece.
