The Miami Heat suffered a huge blow in their Play-In Tournament game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday (PH time) after star player Bam Adebayo exited the contest due to a lower back injury.

Adebayo picked up the injury early in the second quarter after LaMelo Ball crashed into him following the Hornets star’s shot attempt. The Miami Heat forward lost his balance while rebounding the basketball, causing him to fall on his back.

Adebayo was deemed questionable to return, dealing Miami coach Erik Spoelstra a major problem in the knockout game. He had six points and three rebounds before getting injured.

hot commentThat fall was nasty. Health comes first, but man, the timing couldn’t be worse for Miami. Get well soon, Bam.
