A spot in the 2026 NBA Playoffs will be at stake this coming Wednesday (PH time) when the Phoenix Suns face the Portland Trail Blazers in the Play-In Tournament. The seventh-seeded Suns will host the No. 8 seed Blazers, with the winner of that clash advancing to face the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs.
The Suns qualified for the Play-In Tournament after finishing the 2025-26 campaign with a 45-37 record. Devin Booker led Phoenix’s attack, averaging a team-best 26.1 points and 6.0 assists per game this season. Dillon Brooks also has been a revelation, averaging 20.2 points in his first year with the Suns.

They will be tested against the Blazers, who finished the regular season with a 42-40 slate. Phoenix and Portland faced each other three times this campaign, with the Suns holding a 2-1 series edge. The Suns won their first two meetings by an average of 11 points before the Blazers avoided the season sweep with a 92-77 victory last February 23.
Jeremai Grant and Donovan Clingan starred in that contest, each dropping 23 points. That was the game in which Deni Avdija played just one minute after he aggravated a lower back injury. He has since returned to Portland’s lineup, leading the team in scoring (24.2 PPG) and assists (6.7 APG) this season.
