The Dallas Wings selected UConn guard Azzi Fudd with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft on Tuesday (PH time). She comes to Dallas after spending five years with the Huskies, including their championship-winning campaign in the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

Fudd is coming off her best collegiate basketball season with UConn, averaging 17.7 points through 39 starts in the 2025-26 campaign. She also established single-season career highs in points (673), assists (117), rebounds (100), steals (97), and blocks (18) last season.

Fudd made history with her selection, becoming the seventh UConn player to be picked No. 1 in the draft. She joined Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Maya Moore, Tina Charles, Breanna Stewart and Dallas Wings teammate Paige Bueckers in that exclusive list.
