Alvin Aguilar’s Universal Reality Combat Championship has locked in a location for its upcoming URCC Fight Club debut, confirming that the April 16 show will take place at G-Side Night Club in Quezon City.
The promotion made the announcement on its official Facebook page, but it has yet to disclose the matchups for the card as the date draws near.
Originally penciled for March 10 at Octopus Makati, the project has since been rescheduled and relocated.
No explanation has been provided for the change, but preparations now appear to be moving forward.
The initiative comes at a time when URCC has maintained a limited schedule.
The organization has only held one event so far in 2025, highlighted by flyweight champion Eros Baluyot securing a successful title defense against Rene Catalan Jr.
This follows a period of renewed activity from 2022 to 2024 after operations slowed during the pandemic years.
While specifics surrounding the URCC Fight Club format remain unclear, initial promotional efforts point toward an emphasis on up-and-coming competitors.
The concept is expected to serve as a platform for developing talent within the local scene.
The announcement has sparked interest among fans, with some noting similarities to Dynasty Fight Club, a short-lived venture held in Baclaran, Parañaque in 2024.
That project featured frequent bouts across multiple combat sports disciplines inside a nightlife venue before halting midway through the year.
URCC has not indicated whether its new offering will mirror that structure.
Throughout its history, the promotion has been instrumental in shaping several Filipino fighters who later achieved success on the global stage, including Eduard Folayang, Kevin Belingon, and Honorio Banario.
More details are expected to be revealed as the event approaches.
