A new UFC light heavyweight champion will be crowned after Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg both made weight ahead of their cage meeting in the main event of UFC 327.

Prochazka registered 203 pounds, while Ulberg came in at 204, clearing the final hurdle before their scheduled showdown on Sunday, April 12 (Philippine time), at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

The championship opportunity comes following the vacancy left by Alex Pereira, who has indicated plans to compete in a higher division.

Prochazka, carrying a 32-5-1 record, returns to a world title setting with renewed momentum.

The former champion relinquished the belt in 2022 due to injury and later suffered two knockout defeats in encounters against Pereira.

Since those setbacks, Prochazka has responded with stoppage victories over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr.

Across from him, Ulberg enters on a sustained run of form. The New Zealand-based contender owns a 13-1 mark and has won nine consecutive bouts since dropping his promotional debut in 2021.

His latest appearance resulted in a first-round finish of Dominick Reyes in September 2025.

With both fighters successfully hitting their marks, the division now moves closer to crowning its next titleholder in Miami.
