There is just no stopping Denver right now. The red-hot Nuggets extended their winning streak to 8 games on Sunday (PH time), recording an impressive 136-134 overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs at Ball Arena.

It was a huge win for the Nuggets, who boosted their hopes of claiming the  No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. They moved to within a half-game of the Los Angeles Lakers heading into the final week of the regular season.

Nikola Jokic starred for Denver in the victory, racking up 40 points, 13 assists, and 8 rebounds in 44 minutes of action.

Jokic helped seal the win for Denver, scoring a floater with 9.8 seconds left in overtime to make it a two-possession game.

It was a disappointing loss for the Spurs, who looked headed for the win in regulation after grabbing a 124-120 lead with 45.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Denver didn't give up without a fight, though, scoring four straight points, including a game-tying bucket from Aaron Gordon with 6.2 seconds left to send the contest into overtime.

Victor Wembanyama recorded 34 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 blocks in a losing effort for the Spurs, who had their 11-game winning streak snapped.

Compared to Jokic, Fox is actually the real MVP for the Nuggets in this game...
