The Philadelphia 76ers grabbed sole possession of sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings on Saturday (PH time) after recording a 115-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Paul George scored a team-high 23 points for the Sixers, who improved their record to 43-24. Tyrese Maxey had 21 points and 8 assists, while Joel Embiid posted a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Sixers, who moved back into playoff position with the victory.
The Sixers took control of the contest in the third quarter after trailing the Wolves 47-41 at the half. Philadelphia outscored Minnesota 42-24 during that period to enter the fourth quarter with an 83-71 advantage.

The 76ers never looked back after that as they cruised to their 22nd home win of the season.
Julius Randle and Bones Hyland each scored a team-high 21 points for the Timberwolves, who fell to 46-31 after the road loss.
