Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel, the No. 4 overall pick, made history on Friday (PH time) after he knocked down his fourth three-pointer of the game against the Phoenix Suns.

With that make, Knueppel's season total reached 261 three-pointers, surpassing former Hornets guard and current Hornets player development coach Kemba Walker, who set the franchise's single-season three-point record in the 2018-19 season.
Knueppel now stands alone as the player with the most three-pointers made in a single season in Hornets history. He finished the game with 20 points, leading Charlotte to a 127-107 victory.

This season, Knueppel is averaging 18.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, with an average of 3.4 three-pointers made per contest, ranking fourth in the league.
Additionally, on the league's season leaderboard for total three-pointers made, Knueppel currently sits at No. 1, surpassing Luka Dončić. He is on track to become the first rookie in NBA history to lead the league in three-pointers made in a single season.
