Luka Doncic made history on Thursday (PH time), joining the great Michael Jordan in an exclusive list after his offensive explosion in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 137-130 win over the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Doncic became the first player to average 40 points over a six-game span, all on the road, since His Airness accomplished that feat in 1986 with the Chicago Bulls. He has been on fire in the Lakers’ current road trip, scoring at least 40 points in three of those games, including a 60-point outburst in Los Angeles’ win over Miami.

Doncic continued his red-hot form in the win over Indiana, erupting for 43 points on 15-for-30 shooting. He got off to an excellent start, scoring 21 points on 8-for-12 shooting in the first quarter. That was his league-best eighth 20-point quarter of the year.
