The Golden State Warriors rallied from a 15-point deficit to stun the Dallas Mavericks 137-131 in overtime, snapping a three-game losing streak while handing Dallas their fourth straight defeat. The game also marked the return of Kristaps Porziņģis and Moses Moody from injury, giving the Warriors’ lineup a much-needed boost.
Dallas jumped out to an early lead, fueled by sharp shooting from Cooper Flagg, Daniel Gafford, and reserve guard Poulakidas. The Mavericks controlled the first half, building a double-digit advantage by halftime as Golden State struggled to maintain its early momentum.
After the break, the Warriors roared back. Porziņģis’ return energized Golden State, sparking an 8-0 run that erased the deficit. The teams traded blows down the stretch, entering the fourth quarter tied at 98.
The final moments were tense. With 1:16 left, Christie knocked down a corner three-pointer off a Flagg assist to tie it at 126. Both teams failed to score on consecutive possessions, and a late three from Marshall missed, sending the game to overtime.
In the extra session, the Mavericks’ offense stalled, going more than two minutes without a basket. Golden State seized the opportunity with a decisive 7-0 run. Draymond Green added a clutch free throw down the stretch, sealing the 137-131 win.
Golden State’s scoring was balanced, with eight players reaching double figures. Moody led the charge with 23 points before leaving late with a severe knee injury, while Porziņģis contributed 22 points in his comeback. Flagg topped all scorers with 32 points for Dallas, but it wasn’t enough to stave off the loss.
The Mavericks travel to face the Denver Nuggets on March 26, while the Warriors host the Brooklyn Nets the same night.
