More than a week after his unexpected resignation from Team Liquid PH ahead of MPL Philippines Season 17, Kiel “OHEB” Soriano is making a dramatic shift, transferring to a completely new game.

OHEB has stepped away from competitive play and will now take on the role of a content creator for Honor of Kings, making an appearance at the game’s Festival of Lanterns event in Eastwood on Saturday.

Rumors of the 21-year-old gold laner making the move to Honor of Kings have been swirling over the past few days, fueling speculation about his next chapter in the gaming scene.

OHEB is not the first ML:BB player to make the jump to HoK, following in the footsteps of former MPL stars like Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse, Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and John Paul “H2Wo” Salonga, among others.

His sudden absence left Team Liquid in a precarious position, as he departed just days before the roster lock for MPL Philippines Season 17.

The move forced the team to sign Indonesian star Aeron “AeronnShikii” Muhammed at the last minute while promoting Kim “Daiki” Sebanes from their development squad.

AeronnShikii is currently sidelined for the rest of Week 1 due to pending administrative requirements, with Daiki stepping up as the starting gold laner and helping Team Liquid secure a win against Aurora PH yesterday.
