Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel’s historic run in the MPL Philippines has come to an end.
Pheww, the last player to have competed in every MPL PH season from Season 1 to Season 16, is set to continue his career abroad after joining EVOS for the upcoming MPL Indonesia Season 17.
Team Falcons PH announced last Tuesday that Pheww will be on loan to the former MPL ID champion squad, ending Pheww’s run in the MPL PH, which lasted for eight years.
“Growth often means stepping outside of your comfort zone. Today, we announce that Pheww is headed to EVOS Esports via loan. Play your heart out and keep soaring. Wishing you the best,” said the team in a Facebook post.
Pheww will join a roster composed of Albert “Alberttt” Iskandar, Luke “Luke” Valentinus, Kenley “Vell” Zefanya, Patrick “Treacky” Gofar, Erland “Erlan” Saputra, Hengky “kyy” Gunawan, Ega “EgaTzy” Pratama.
This marks just the third organization of Pheww’s 16-season career — a testament to the stability that has defined his run in the league.
He began with Digital Devils Pro, which was later acquired by Cignal Ultra, before moving to Bren Esports, a squad that eventually transitioned to Team Falcos. Now, he opens a new chapter under the banner of EVOS.
Pheww’s move to EVOS adds yet another chapter to a legendary resume that few in MPL Philippines can rival.
Over 16 seasons, he has captured three MPL PH championships, hoisted two M-Series World titles, and contributed to the national team’s glory with two SEA Games gold medals, cementing his status as one of the region’s most decorated and enduring esports veterans.
