Cignal improved to a league-best 4-1 win-loss record, ending PLDT’s unbeaten run and spoiling its bid for an elimination round sweep.
The Super Spikers also repeated their feat from last year’s Reinforced Conference, when they snapped PLDT’s 15-game winning streak with a straight-set win.

Setter Gel Cayuna orchestrated the offense with 18 excellent sets on top of nine points and five digs. Ishie Lalongisip chipped in seven points and eight receptions, while Rose Doria-Aquino and Jackie Acuña scored six apiece. Libero Dawn Catindig anchored the floor defense with 17 digs.
PLDT threatened in the third set, turning an 11-16 deficit into a 17-16 lead behind a six-point surge capped by Mika Reyes’ block on Gandler.
But Santos responded with two clutch hits before Cayuna fired an ace to restore control at 20-17. Gandler pushed Cignal to match point. Savi Davison kept PLDT alive with a back-row kill, but Cayuna sealed the win with a decisive 1-2 play that withstood a net fault challenge.
PLDT fell to 3-1. Davison paced the High Speed Hitters with 14 points, while Kianna Dy added 11 in the loss.
