Reigning MPL Philippines champion Team Liquid has parted ways with head coach Archie “Tictac” Reyes, closing a seven-season chapter marked by stability and success, the organization announced in a heartfelt statement last Thursday.

Tictac, who wore multiple hats throughout her four-year tenure with the squad, exits as one of the franchise’s most accomplished figures — a four-time MPL PH champion, an MSC titlist, and an M-Series world champion.

“Legacy is not measured in seasons or trophies alone. It lives in the years of dedication, in the teams you help build, and in the people you inspire along the way,” said the team in a statement.

“Coach Tictac, thank you for standing with Team Liquid Philippines through multiple eras of this organization. Through every change, every challenge, and every victory, you remained a constant, helping shape the foundation of who we are today,” the statement continued.

The 45-year-old player-turned-coach took the reins ahead of Season 10 following Michael “Arcadia” Bocado’s move to the Selangor Red Giants, inheriting a roster brimming with potential and molding it into one of the most dominant squads in recent MPL Philippines history.

Over the last cycle, he transitioned to lead assistant under Rodel “Ar Sy” Cruz, playing a key role in steering the squad toward what could have been a historic Golden Road campaign.

However, that bid ultimately fell short after the team settled for a fourth-place finish in the M7 World Championship earlier this year.

“What you helped build here goes far beyond any result. You nurtured talent, strengthened culture, and instilled discipline, resilience, and belief into every roster you touched. You were there not just for the highlights, but for the hard days that truly define a team,” the team said.

‘You leave behind more than memories or achievements. You leave a legacy woven into this organization and into every player who had the privilege of learning from you. Your impact will echo through every chapter that comes next. Thank you, Coach.”

Team Liquid PH heads into Season 17 determined to secure a third straight MPL Philippines title and punch its ticket to this year’s MSC.
