Alex Eala got off to a strong start in her Round of 32 match at the 2026 Dubai Tennis Championships, taking the opening set against Jasmine Paolini by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday (PH time) on Center Court at Aviation Club Tennis Centre.

 

Eala broke Paolini's serve in the fourth game of the first set to open up a 3-1 lead. 

 

The Quezon City native never looked back after that, taking the first set in just 25 minutes.
