The Oklahoma City Thunder concluded their historic year with an emphatic 124-95 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday (PH time) at Paycom Center. Seven players scored in double figures for the Thunder, who finished the year 2025 with a 29-5 slate, the NBA’s best record.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put on a show in front of the home fans, recording 30 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. He shot 11-for-15 from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. Bench players Ajay Mitchell and Isaiah Joe also contributed, scoring 17 and 15 points, respectively.
The Thunder dominated right from the get-go, building a 38-30 lead after the first quarter. They pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Blazers 35-25 during that period to lead 73-55 at the half.
OKC never looked back after that, handing Portland its first loss in three games. It was a fantastic end to the year for the Thunder, who won their first-ever NBA championship last June. They are in prime position to defend their title this coming postseason.
Sidy Cissoko scored a team-high 19 points for the Blazers, who fell to 14-20 with the loss.
